Franche-Comté specialities

Time is what it takes to make a cheese, a wine, an alcohol, a sausage... For the famous yellow wine, you need at least six years and a few months. The Franche-Comté was a pioneer in defending the AOC (certified origin) products. The first French AOC was given to the wines of Arbois in 1936. Since then other Jura vineyards, and cheeses (Comté, Mont-d'Or, Morbier...) have been similarly knighted. In all the countries there are plenty of other traditional products such as kirsch from Fougerolles, sausages from Morteau and Montbéliard.

We wish you a pleasant stay discovering the local tastes along the way. You will set off to discover the heritage, but also meet men and women who perpetuate the culinary tradition. They will welcome you for a tasting and transmit their knowledge, their passion and their love of the country.
