Le Saut du Doubs (waterfall)

Listed as a 3-star "Grand Site National", the leading Natural Site in Franche-Comté, the Saut du Doubs (and its natural pools) is one of the most remarkable locations in the entire region.
Through the Morteau Valley, the River Doubs flows sleepily. But as it reaches Villers-le-Lac, it enters a particularly spectacular area.
First of all, it flows into Lake Chaillexon, 3 km long and 250 metres wide, which stands below some enormous cliffs, before leaving via a fantastic 27-metre high fall!
The easiest way to discover the site is to take a seat aboard one of the comfortable river boats that will take you along the gently curving river, before crossing Lake Chaillexon.
