Open from the end of March until mid December, the Maison départementale de l'environnement is a service from the General Council of the Territoire de Belfort, responsible for making people aware of the environment. Located on the banks of the biggest lake in the Franche-Comté, at the foot of the nature reserve, Parc naturel régional des ballons des Vosges, and in proximity to the town of Belfort, the Maison départementale de l'environnement has been open to the public since 1994.
The wealth and diversity of its programming make it one of the most visited places in the department, highly appreciated by families.
