Morbier and floral white wines

The floral white wines, mostly Chardonnay, are a perfect match for a 3-month Morbier. To the nose, the milky, creamy aromas of the second blend harmoniously with the buttery, brioche hints of the first. The cheese is soft and smooth to the touch, the wine is round and generous. The mellowness of the Morbier in the mouth is set off by the onset of the wine, which adds complexity. A marriage made in heaven, mild and gentle.
