Come and get some fresh air in the Jura Mountains and enjoy the wide open spaces and untouched nature, stretching from the peaks of the Mont d’Or to the shores of Lake Saint-Point, France's third largest natural lake.
At each stage, the warm welcome of a Logis de France hotel is a guarantee, and here you will be able to savour the delicious local cuisine, so that the following day you can set off once again, hale and hearty, to discover the delights of the mountains of Upper Doubs !

PROGRAMME :

Arrival in the morning at the Auberge du Coude, ideally located between Lakes Saint-Point and Remoray. You will settle into your bedroom, and then you are off, with your copious picnic in your rucksack, for a tour of the lake: 8 information panels set around the path will tell you all the history of this 23 km long lake, lined by peaceful little villages, so typical of the region, and splendid viewpoints over the prairies and spruce forests that come up to the gentle lake's shoreline…

Return to the inn to enjoy the fabulous cuisines dreamt up by the chef, and after a night in this former coach house, now transformed into a comfortable and cosy little hotel, a hearty breakfast and you are off again, this time to Les Longevilles Mont d’Or, one of the villages that make up the Métabief mountain resort. On your way, you will be able to stop off at the Reserve Centre, visit a bell foundry, enjoy the views from the Belvedere of the 2 Lakes…
Evening meal, night and breakfast at Les Sapins, a charming Logis in the Métabief mountain resort.

The next day, you will climb up to the top of the Mont d’Or. A picnic lunch in amongst the pastures, pines, gentians and Montbéliard cattle will reward you for your efforts. From its lofty perch at 1463 m, this superb balcony offers a truly breathtaking view: the Jura, with the Suchet and Le Chasseron rocks, or the Dent de Vaulion, are just a foretaste of the legendary Alpine peaks you can see, such as Aiguille du Midi, the Grandes Jorasses and the Drus, but also the Jungfrau, the Mönch, the Eiger and Weisshorn… A spectacular stage, and you have front row seats!

THE PRICE INCLUDES :

Accommodation in double bedroom in a 2-star hotel, full board (picnic lunch provided), the routes and maps for the walks, the transport of luggage, the final day: transfer back to the first hotel.
