Running along the route of the legendary “GTJ” for the most part, this mountain trail is a genuine delight! The trail lends itself to a variety of skiing styles, is well marked out and regularly maintained.
It runs along long valleys dotted with little villages and large farms, peat bogs and thousand year old forests...
This is a route which for many years has been acknowledged as one of the finest you can hope to do on skis, and we propose that you follow it from cottage to cottage… a holiday where you travel light and free.

Sunday:
Welcome at Lajoux around 5 p.m.
Monday:
Transfer to La Pesse (20 minutes). Crossing the Domaine des Hautes Combes, night at Lajoux. (20 km, +/- 200 m)
Tuesday:
The Massacre Forest, night at Le Bief de la Chaille. (21 km, +/- 400 m)
Wednesday:
The plateau des Rousses, Le Risoux Forest, night at Chapelle des Bois. (25 km, +/ 250 m)
Thursday:
The Mont Noir, The Grand Gît, night at Chaux-Neuve. (20 km, + 200 m/-250 m)
Friday:
The Pré Poncet, the Lételet and descent towards Mouthe. (17 km, +/- 350 m)
Return shuttle at 4 p.m. to Lajoux and end of the holiday.
Marked out and well maintained pistes. Mainly following the route of the GTJ (Grande Traversée du Jura), around twenty km a day, average difference in height: + - 250 m.

THE PRICE INCLUDES :
The accommodation, half board, the tourist tax, the transfer of the luggage, the cross-country skiing pass, the road book (the marked maps, map holder and description of the route), the assistance throughout, the return shuttle to Lajoux on Friday evening.
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE :
The New Year's and high season supplement, the transport to the first hotel, the drinks and personal expenses, the lunches, the hire of the cross-country skis, the administrative costs (€ 13).
OPTIONAL :
The ski hire (€ 50/pair of patterned skis or €68 for a pair of skating skis), the half board on the Friday evening and additional night: + €38, the shuttle between the station at Bellegarde and Lajoux (11€ per person), the five lunches (€48 /pers.), cancellation insurance (2.5 % of the toal price).
