No license is required. At the dock you'll receive an introduction to theory and practice for successfully operating your boat. Afterwards, you'll receive instructions and a navigation map valid for the duration of your trip. Have no fear! It's easy.

The locks:
Locks on the Petite Saône are electric, automated or manually operated by lock-keepers. Passing through locks is a special moment: an opportunity to enjoy conversations with the lock-keeper, passers-by and other pleasure boaters or to purchase local specialities. This will be one of the most memorable parts of your cruise.

The stages:
You can dock wherever you want to: in the middle of nature, in a village or in the heart of a city. Take advantage of the very convenient ports and mooring stations along the way. Don't forget your bikes: cycling will be a pleasant addition to your journey. You can ride on the towpaths or pick up supplies. All the bases rent mountain bikes or mini-bikes. However, it is advisable to book them when making your reservation.

The equipment on the boats:
Dishes, pots and pans, bedding (pillows, sheets, blankets or duvets, duvet covers) are included. The voltage available on board is 12 volts. Most ports have 220-volt sockets near the boats.

Fishing:
The Saône is well-stocked with fish. However, a fishing license is required. Holiday cards are available at fishing tackle shops and from local fishing societies.

- 1 weekend/return from Seveux-Savoyeux to Port-sur-Saône 83 km/22 locks
- 1 week/return from Seveux-Savoyeux to St-Jean-de-Losne 180 km/16 locks or Seveux-Savoyeux to Corre 167 km/30 locks
- 1 week/return from (transfer possible) from Seveux-Savoyeux to Louhans 246 km/14 locks
- 2 weeks and +/return from Seveux-Savoyeux to Louhans 492 km/28 locks.

Weekend: Saturday 10 a.m. to Sunday 7 p.m.
Mini-week: Mini-week: Monday 3 p.m. to Friday 2 p.m.
Week: Saturday or Wednesday 4 p.m. to Saturday or Wednesday 9 .
